Crown Lifting (or Crown Raising)

Crown lifting is the removal of part of or whole lower limbs to lift the crown of the tree.  This could be necessary to gain a certain height clearance to gain vehicle or pedestrian access, it can also be used to increase light passing under the tree or to gain a view.

 

Crown Lifting:

  • Remove part or whole lower limbs

  • Gain height clearance (eg vehicle/pedestrian)

  • Gain a view

  • Increase light
